Animals, music and science – a busy day for Polk Central students

Third graders at Polk Central Elementary had a presentation and visit from animals native to North Carolina, which included an owl, possum and snake, courtesy of Chimney Rock during the school’s recent Science Day of Discovery.

During the day, Lance Smith entertained third graders with storytelling and Native American flute playing as he intergrated language arts, music and science.

Third and fourth grade students at Polk Central also enjoyed a lesson on low and high pressure presented by Kid Senses.
