The Polk County High School Cadets recently brought their musical talents to a pair of holiday events in the area.

The band performed two concerts at the Tryon Christmas Stroll, delighting passersby with holiday music, and also took part in the Columbus Christmas Parade.

Band director Cindy Gilbert noted that a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation allowed PCHS students to join the marching band at no cost, enabling the group to provide performances such as those in Tryon and Columbus.
