Saluda Elementary teacher Ginger Rackley received a pair of grants to help purchase supplies and items for school students.
Rackley is a 2015 recipient of the North Carolina Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Going Local Grants Program.
The grant will supply seeds, potting soil and planters for fifth grade students to use. Students will donate some of the flowers and plants to the Saluda community.
Some of the flowers and plants will be sold at the Spring Informance at Saluda Elementary, enabling future students to participate in this activity.
Rackley also received a Be Inspired Grant from the Tryon Fine Arts Center. This grant enabled Mrs. Rackley to purchase journals, new markers, and new colored pencils to create Science Vocabulary Journals.
