Saluda Elementary student Liam Tessnair became a beaver during a recent visit from educators at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center.

FENCE staff visited Saluda to present the program Home Sweet Home, which discusses the types of habitats that animals live in and how animals adapt to those environments.

After a group conversation, students picked an animal and drew it in its environment, with consideration to the need for food, water, air, shelter and space.
