Staff members from Foothills Equestrian Nature Center recently gave a presentation on energy and matter to Ginger Rackley’s fifth grade class at Saluda Elementary to help with the class study of those topics.
As part of the Center’s Nature Education Program, FENCE staff helped students review potential and kinetic energy and physical and chemical changes and learn about the three types of heat transfer.
“I appreciate FENCE doing the science presentations for my students,” Rackley said. “The presentations allow my students to participate in some hands-on activities. The FENCE presenter also does a good job of reviewing the vocabulary with my students.”
