Polk Central fifth graders in Andrea Walter’s class have been busy studying forces and motion as well as getting outdoors through the Muddy Sneakers program
Students studied forces and motion on March 5. They built an obstacle course from found objects, then discussed the speed, distance and forces involved in navigating the course. The class had lots of fun with great learning!
Outdoors, students also designed boats to calculate the water flow of a creek and caught lizards hiding in the massive root structure of a fallen tree.
