Tryon Elementary School has a rich history of outstanding events that highlight the performing arts talents of their students.
Former teacher Clara Rogers helped produce many of those stellar shows. And though now retired, Rogers is making certain future performances will look and sound even better.
Rogers has provided a generous donation to Tryon Elementary for upgrades in the school auditorium. Among the improvements planned thanks to Rogers’ gift:
- Performance lighting to better illuminate the stage
- Microphone and speaker enhancements to improve audio quality
- Installation of a new digital projector and screen
“TES is very thankful for Ms. Rogers’ generosity,” said Principal Kevin Weis. “She was a wonderful teacher and the students really enjoyed participating in the performances she orchestrated.
“This upgrade will be a wonderful addition to the school.”
