Saluda Elementary School hosted Literacy Night on March 9 for all kindergarten through fifth grade students and their families.
While parents participated in two informational sessions on improving student literacy, facilitated by Saluda teachers, students enjoyed a movie in the auditorium.
In addition to dining on pizza, salad, and dessert, five students won a comfortable chair in which to curl up and read.
“It was a great event,” one parent said. “We enjoyed it and left smarter than when we came!”
