Polk County Middle School sixth graders found a tasty way to enhance their study of Greek mythology.

Sixth graders in Jeanne Ferran’s English Languge Arts class created dioramas using the popular marshmallow candy Peeps. The project gave students an opportunity to create and collaborate using many different types of art supplies to bring their myth to life.

Students worked with media coordinator Laura Smith as well as Polk County Public Library staff members Jen Pace Dickenson, youth services librarian, and Amelia Hill, program and volunteer coordinator.
