The Polk County High School FFA Chapter Career Development Event Plant Teams recently again showed why they are consistently one of the top teams in Western North Carolina.
Competing in the Western Regional FFA Competition at Haywood Community College, Polk County High School teams recorded two firsts and a second, all three teams earning a spot in the North Carolina FFA state competition in June.
Special thanks to Expressions and Columbus Florist, Silver Creek Landscaping, Big Frog Nursery and John Vining for helping sponsor the teams. All three teams are coached by agricultural education instructor Chauncey Barber.
