Remote days due to the COVID-19 pandemic kept members of Polk County High School’s Foods 1 class from finishing gingerbread houses prior to Christmas break.
COVID-related restrictions have prevented students in the course from doing any cooking during the fall semester.
Did all of that deter the students from their gingerbread goals?
Not a chance.
Upon returning from the holiday break, class members used individual kits to build those gingerbread houses. The activity provided at least one hands-on project for the students before the end of the semester.
