Due to the threat of bad weather, Polk County High School’s graduation ceremony has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 6, at 9 a.m. in G.M. Tennant Stadium.

“Given what our seniors have already been through this spring I guess this should not be a big surprise to any of us,” said Superintendent Aaron Greene. “Though we have been clear that (Saturday) morning would be our rain plan I realize this change may cause some inconvenience to our families.

“We want the event to be as positive and enjoyable as possible, and we would rather not have our seniors and families trying to dodge the rain or wait for storms to pass. With people riding in the back of pickups and potential for extended waits in a car line we feel this will be a safer option as well. We certainly appreciate your patience and understanding.”

Please visit www.polkschools.org/pchs for updated information.  The ceremony will proceed in the same fashion, with the only difference being the change in time.
