Polk County High School 11th and 12th grade Career and Technical Education students took part April 27 in the “Making it Work” Manufacturing and Engineering Fair held in Cleveland County.
The Making it Work event promotes careers in manufacturing, and students learned about local high-paying positions and were able to network with the companies offering those jobs.
Students also participated in an engineering competition offered by North Carolina State University, explored different careers and education involved in manufacturing through the job fair and toured Westrock Manufacturing Plant in Forest City.
