Polk County Middle School recently competed in the 13th Annual Student Food Drive with MANNA Food Bank, helping to fight hunger in Western North Carolina.

The school’s efforts, which resulted in more than 1,500 meals being collected, earned Polk Middle the Most Creative Award for holding a food collection competition and basketball game among the students and staff.

MANNA Food Sourcing Administrator Jake Deuterman visited PCMS on June 1 to present the award to PCMS.
