Third graders at Tryon Elementary School have been putting their art talents to use during a project titled “Picasso on Canvas.”
Students studied and read about Pablo Picasso’s life, including learning about the Rose Period, Blue Period and Cubism.
With the help of Clara Rogers and Dr. Emily Delmas, students completed their own self-portraits using the abstract style. The artwork is displayed at Tryon Elementary School.
The project was funded by a Be Inspired Grant from The Tryon Fine Arts Center.
