Students in J.J. Waddell’s fourth grade at Polk Central Elementary have accepted a unique challenge from First Lego League to engineer, build and code a play area that focuses on increasing the heart rate in kids.
Students are researching games and sports, how to include people of all ages and abilities, and engineering a motorized device to power equipment in their builds.
Class members are planning to soon present their projects on video to parents and other community members.
