Loretta Edwards’ kindergarten class at Polk Central Elementary has been taking part in a number of fun Thanksgiving activities.
Students have been learning about Pilgrims, reading stories, signing songs, learning the differences between wants and needs, discussing what the Pilgrims were thankful for and the things for which the students are thankful.
Class members wrote down what they were thankful for on feathers and made their own turkey. They also wrote a poem using their sight words and made a turkey handprint.
