Students in Beth Queen’s second grade class at Polk Central Elementary recently completed a social studies integrated art project in Michael Darpino’s art class.
Students have been learning about Native American history and culture by reading the “Kaya: An American Girl” series in class. In art, students have been learning about creating three-dimensional art. They created 3-D representations of a Nez Pierce Village, and included many aspects from the books and nature in their projects.
Students have been working and learning for weeks, and are so proud to show off their completed projects!
