Third graders at Polk Central Elementary recently had a tasty introduction to the study of matter.
The students made homemade ice cream to investigate matter, learning about its properties and changes.
With the help of Polk County Cooperative Extension Agent Helen Clark, students learned about chemical changes by mixing properties and cooling matter.
