Polk Central Elementary will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 9-10, due to a water line break near the school.
In order to make it possible for Polk County Local Government and the Inman-Campobello Water District to repair the break, all water to the Polk Central campus will be turned off Monday evening. To meet state standards for water quality, the water can not be deemed safe until 24 hours after the repair is completed.
Polk County Schools will issue another advisory on Wednesday should conditions change.
