Polk County COVID-19 Vaccination Coalition Partners will be providing access to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for those ages 5 and older on Wednesday from noon until 4 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Health office at Polk County Middle School.

The vaccinations are sponsored by Polk County Health Department, Blue Ridge Health and the coalition partners.

Parents and legal guardians must provide written consent and must also be present before any child can be vaccinated.

The Pfizer vaccination is a two-dose series and the second dose will also be provided through Blue Ridge Health at PCMS 21 days following the first dose. Per current CDC guidance, individuals will be considered fully vaccinated 14 days after they receive their second dose and would not need to quarantine following an exposure to a positive COVID-19 person, assuming the exposed vaccinated person has no symptoms.

Any parent or legal guardian interested in obtaining the vaccination for their children ages 5 and older are welcome to register at https://hipaa.jotform.com/212993543777167 or call the Polk County COVID-19 message line at 828-722-5086.
