Polk County High School HOSA and Health Science classes hosted a blood drive at the school on Thursday, collecting 132 units of blood.
Students, parents, staff and community members worked together to make this event so successful.
“We are the largest school donation site for Red Cross in the region, regardless of school size,” said PCHS Health Sciences teacher Pam Arrowood. “This is a reflection of our students, school and community and how we come together when it counts.
“Thank you to our administration for allowing us to somewhat disrupt our school schedule to hold this awesome event that saves lives.”
