How much school spirit can be found at Polk County Middle School? Enough to fill an entire week of fun activities.
Students and staff recently celebrated Spirit Week, with each day including a dressup theme. That included Crazy Hat Monday, Twin Tuesday, Wacky Tacky Wednesday, Throwback Thursday and School Spirit Friday.
On Thursday, students celebrated fall sports teams with the first outdoor pep rally in school history. Students competed for the new Wolverine spirit stick, and sixth grade captured the coveted prize.
The school also held a fundraiser throughout the week for educational materials for students. Sixth grade students also won that competition, bringing in the most money and earning a special prize – a chance to see all their teachers and principals get a pie in the face.
