Polk County Schools is urging all local families who have not already done so to register their rising preschool and kindergarten students for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The district recommends that all families with children in those age ranges who have not yet registered their children to do so while school is still in session for this academic year.
All Polk County elementary schools have already conducted registration events for preschool and kindergarten students for the 2019-2020 academic year. If you missed the event at your community school or were not aware of them, Polk Central, Saluda, Sunny View and Tryon Elementary Schools are ready and eager to help students get registered for the upcoming year.
Early registration is not a requirement, but does help in getting students assigned to teachers and classrooms and also ensures you will receive any school information or updates over the summer. If you have a rising preschooler or kindergartner and have not registered them yet, please contact one of the elementary schools and they will be glad to set up a time to get your student registered.
