Champions for Wildlife has been partnering with Polk County Schools to provide programming for K-8 students that helps students fall in love with wildlife using art.

Each of the programs features a wildlife lesson aligned with science standards and an art activity. During a recent program that Champions did with Jeanne Ferran’s classes, students:

  • Learned about the importance of pollinators in supporting a healthy, growing ecosystem
  • Learned about the connections between plants and people, plants and pollinators, and pollinators and people.
  • Created watercolor wing art to demonstrate their understanding and to show appreciation of pollinators.

Based in Lynn, Champions for Wildlife has a simple mission – inspire kids to fall in love with wildlife using art and education.
