Polk County Schools will operate all bus routes on a normal schedule beginning Monday, Sept. 17.
Polk County Superintendent Aaron Greene said the school district will continue to monitor traffic in areas in and around Tryon International Equestrian Center, home of the ongoing World Equestrian Games and will make adjustments this week if needed.
The Games continue through Sunday, Sept. 23. The district didn’t run routes on some roads last week due to WEG-related traffic.
The district will also continue to monitor road conditions in the county, which has received several inches of rain from Tropical Depression Florence. Schools are operating on a normal schedule on Monday, Sept. 17, but families and schools will be notified should conditions change.
