Polk County Middle School recently celebrated its annual College and Career Week.
Students were given special announcements by eighth graders, in person and through their email each day for remote students, about colleges and careers.
Students had a chance to complete a college scavenger hunt created by the PCMS School Counselors. Students who participated were entered into a door prize drawing for PCHS gear or college swag.
Since eighth graders could not have a Career Day this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, several Polk alumni participated in a project talking about their careers, how they got there on their college path and offered advice on what they could be doing as middle schoolers to prepare for their future.
Eighth grade students also participated in a project in their ELA classes about their future college and career paths.
To cap the fun, students and staff wore college shirts as a way to wrap up a great week!
