Polk County Middle School’s effort to help Manna Food Bank proved award-winning.

In early March, PCMS participated in a food drive collection with Manna Food Bank. All items collected were donated to Outreach to help with local needs.

Students brought in more than 800 items, with sixth grade students providing half of that total. Students helped pack the items into boxes and helped volunteers at Outreach load trucks with those goods.

Manna recently announced that PCMS won the Full Plate Award for the Best Middle School taking part in the food drive. Last year, PCMS won the most Creative Award in the competition.
