Students in Polk County Middle School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter recently filled 17 shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization, to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes to be filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their communities and elsewhere.
Students at Polk County Middle donated supplies to fill the shoeboxes for those children.
It is going to be a blessing to a lot of kids,” said PCMS chapter advisor Brian Taylor. “My goal was five shoeboxes and they went above and beyond that. I am really proud of these young men and women.”
