A recent workshop on the art of puppetry sparked an interest in the subject for Polk Central fourth grader Jillian Brown.
Brown, a student in Leann Wilson’s class, went home with a passion for shadow puppetry after the workshop. She created her own shadow box and brought it to school to share with her classmates.
Brown loves using the puppets she has made to tell stories.
“I’m so glad we got to learn about this. Otherwise I probably never would have thought of it!” Jillian said.
