Fifth graders in Ginger Rackley’s class at Saluda Elementary recently enjoyed a day outside in nature reviewing what they had learned about energy by participating in Muddy Sneakers.

Muddy Sneakers is an environmental education program. The students enjoyed their day.

“I think Muddy Sneakers is a great way to learn about nature,” said student Luke Garrison. “My favorite activity was when we got to build a bird’s nest to see if we could keep the egg warm.”

“I think Muddy Sneakers was a golden outdoor learning experience,” said student Lander Moss-Barnhart.
