Saluda fifth graders express gratitude to troops overseas

The character trait for December at Saluda Elementary School is gratitude.

Students in Ginger Rackley’s fifth grade class at Saluda Elementary showed their gratitude to those who are serving their country by collecting items to put in a care package for a former student of Rackley’s who is serving overseas.

The students also made Christmas cards to include in the care packages.

“The students just kept making the sweetest cards for our soldiers,” Rackley said. “My former student is going to have plenty of cards to share with his unit. The students also did a great job of bringing in a variety of items for the care packages.”
