Fifth graders in Ginger Rackley’s class at Saluda Elementary School recently got their first experience with the Muddy Sneakers program.

Muddy Sneakers is an environmental education program that works with fifth graders.

Some quotes from students about their day . . .

Arie Parmalee: “The activity I enjoyed the most was writing and drawing in our notebooks about our subject. We were combining nature and science all in one in our notebook.”

Zayne McFalls: “I enjoyed sharing our stuff we found in the woods with our friends. I enjoyed it because you get to learn what your friends are thinking.”
