Saluda fifth graders turn to dance to help study scientific concept

Students in Ginger Rackley’s fifth grade class at Saluda Elementary have been working to integrate dance and science

Students in Ginger Rackley’s fifth grade class at Saluda Elementary have been working to integrate dance and science.

Class members are learning about heat transfer in science, and have been working in groups to create a dance to show the three kinds of heat transfer.

“I think it’s very authentic for us to make a dance to help us confront our fears of dance and have a good encounter at school,” said Roslyn Jones.

“I love how Mrs. Rackley combines dance and science altogether,” said Arie Parmalee.
