Students in Stephanie Fletcher’s first grade class at Saluda Elementary School recently submitted a piece for the 4th Annual Carl Sandburg Home Art Show themed “Ambition”.
In addition, the class read a sampling of Sandburg’s work, wrote their own poems and recently visited the Carl Sandburg Home, where their artwork was on display.
Students enjoyed hiking, acting out poetry and, most of all, petting the goats.
