Saluda first grader’s hard work, good deeds earn Principal Paw, special lunch

Saluda Elementary first grader Avery Mintz bas been earning points at the school for a number of good deeds.

She decided to spend those points for a special treat – lunch with Principal Dr. Cari Maneen.

Mintz earned 150 points for “hard work, social distancing, not giving up, using good manners and being kind,” Dr. Maneen said.

“I am so proud of Avery for her hard work and perseverance. I was overjoyed when I found out she chose to spend her points to have lunch with me. What an honor!”

Mintz also received the school’s highest honor, the Principal Paw.
