Second grade students at Saluda Elementary in the class of Michelle Richardson and Jennifer Doten recently celebrated Pumpkin Day.
The students worked in various stations, participating in fun pumpkin activities that included using a scale to balance pumpkins with other objects such as connecting cubes, counting pumpkin seeds by 10s, sampling yummy pumpkin snacks, drawing and illustrating the life cycle of a pumpkin, putting pumpkin seeds in groups of 10s and counting them, and participating in a pumpkin sink or float experiment.
The students all agreed that it was a fun learning experience!
