Rising middle and rising high school students taking part in an AIG Summer Seminar learned how to channel anxiety and perfectionism and manage stress through yoga, art and nature.

Rising middle and rising high school students taking part in an AIG Summer Seminar learned how to channel anxiety and perfectionism and manage stress through yoga, art and nature.

The students created clay pinch pots, affirmation cards and T-shirts, learned grounding and breathing techniques, and created a personalized space for themselves to learn how to alleviate anxiety. The students also learned basic yoga poses and led each other in a practice.

Polk County Community Foundation funded the AIG Summer Seminar, which was led by Jeanne Ferran, AIG English Language Arts teacher at Polk County Middle School, and held at Tryon Arts and Crafts School.
