Sunny View Elementary fifth graders put some newfound skills to good use to build and design race cars for different types of competition.
Students in Kellie Bradley’s class have been studying force and motion in recent weeks. As part of the culmination of those lessons, students were asked to incorporate all of the elements studied and design an entry for a speed race and one for a distance race.
The students used their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) skills as they went through the “real world” process of designing, testing and redesigning.
