Fourth grade students at Saluda Elementary have been learning about the power of words and how they can make a difference in everyday life.
Students have learned that words can make a person feel amazing or they can make someone really feel hurt. Once words are spoken, kind or unkind, they are forever imprinted on the heart.
Students used an interesting tool to learn this lesson – toothpaste. They learned that unkind words can’t be completely put back into the toothpaste tube no matter how much you might regret them. Thus, saying you are sorry helps but the words still stick to your heart.
