Tryon Elementary students get ‘Mad About Mammals’

First graders in Wendi Owens’ class at Tryon Elementary recently enjoyed a visit from staff at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, who presented a lesson from their Project FENCE catalog entitled Mad About Mammals

First graders in Wendi Owens’ class at Tryon Elementary recently enjoyed a visit from staff at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, who presented a lesson from their Project FENCE catalog entitled Mad About Mammals.

In the program, students learn that mammals have traits that make them different from all other animals. Instructors discuss the different kinds of mammals and their similarities and differences.
