Third graders at Tryon Elementary studied the life and works of Pablo Picasso during the month of February.
With the support and help of a BIG – Be Inspired Grant from the Tryon Fine Arts Center, each student was able to create his or her own version of a self-portrait using the cubism style on a canvas print, focusing on the collage method using tissue paper.
Teachers and students at Tryon Elementary want to thank the Tryon Fine Arts Center for providing such a wonderful learning experience and allowing them to integrate the arts into English/Language Arts instruction.
