The Unified Champions of Polk County High and Polk County Middle have taken on the challenge of raising support for Special Olympics of North Carolina.
The group will be participating in the Cool Schools Polar Plunge and Rally on Feb. 28 in Greensboro. The Cool Schools Polar Plunge raises valuable funds and awareness for Special Olympics of NC, giving one more athlete the chance to get into the game and reveal their inner champion.
Rhonda Hill (PCHS) and Denise Kennedy (PCMS) have committed to this Plunge and will be taking approximately 45 middle and high school Unified Champions to participate.
Your cheers can be felt in the form of donations! Each school has an online site to which you can donate, but will also accept checks (made payable to SONC) and cash.
Please consider supporting local students in this endeavor and help Polk County Schools stand strong at the Special Olympics State Rally.
