Thoe are among the many items available for guests in the three auctions at Saturday’s Polk Cares 4 Kids fundraising celebration at Tryon International Equestrian Center.

PC4K will begin at 5 p.m. with a reception in the Legends Club at TIEC. Dinner follows at 6 p.m., with auctions at 7 p.m. and entertainment from 7:30-10 p.m. There will be a fishbowl auction, silent auction and a live auction.

Seats are still available for the evening, with tickets $150 for a couple and $100 for individuals. Call 828-894-3051 and leave a message for Aaron Greene to reserve a seat.

Some 60 items will be available for guests in the three auctions, including:

  • A 2016 Ford Fiesta, with just 12,700 miles, from Stott’s Ford
  • Two sides of beef, 75-80 pounds of meat each, from Chinquapin Farms
  • Tickets and merchandise for four guests to The Gorge in Saluda as well as Green River Adventures in Saluda
  • Two tickets to see CATS at the Peace Center
  • Two tickets to see Les Miserables at the Peace Center
  • A teen driving school session at the BMW Driving Experience in Greenville
  • Original artwork by Jennifer Mills
  • A $500 gift certificate from Edney Orthodontics

Guests must pay for their items with cash or a check – no debit or credit cards will be accepted.

The event is an effort to raise proceeds to help offset the significant costs associated with extracurricular experiences, arts programming and athletics participation provided to students throughout Polk County Schools at no charge to them or their families.

All funds raised through the event will go into a general fund that will be used to support experiences such as Science Olympiad, Lego Robotics teams and other academic competitive teams as well as help with athletic expenses such as postseason trips.
