With the first threat of winter weather at hand, Polk County Schools would like to remind area families how school closings and delays will be communicated.
Once district officials have made a decision to either close or delay school, that message will be communicated via the following channels:
- Automated calling system
- PolkSchools.org
- PolkStudents.com and its Facebook page
- PolkSports.com and its Facebook page and Instagram feed
- Local television and radio stations
